back to the Dollhouse Workshop
  • Here's the housebody ready for the attic and roof (actually, I am a little ahead of the instructions in attaching the trim). I will be doing a taped demo of attaching the parts to show the order and fit of the process. If this was an actual assembly, the Eaves would be glued to the Rear Roof, and all the roofs would have shingle lines.

  • The Attic Endwalls and Gable Triangle are glued and taped on, and held straight with Dividers and the Attic Partition

  • They are glued with the groove overlapping the edge of the Top Froor, and lined up exactly with the upper corner of the floor

  • The Attic Endwall lines up exactly too, front-and-back

  • Attach the Rear Roof spaced evenly side-to-side. Notice the beveled edge of the Rear Roof is lined up and straight with the front edge of the Attic Endwall

  • The Front Roof overlaps the Rear Roof, and lines up with the top surface
    1065_roofing...
  • Lined up and taped across the ends and in several places across the peak

  • Make sure the Front Roof is pushed back to touch the house front here. It mak take a little "squaring of the corner" on the inside of the roof for a good fit. Loook from the inside of the attic to make sure it's touching.

  • The fit between the Gable Floor and the Front Roof

  • The Gable Roofs, taped together at the peak. Confirm the overhang is even top-to-bottom and side-to-side.

  • Tape across the top, under the eaves, and from the front eave thru the window
