 Slideshows support but do not replace the instructions Hi Jim The “Extra” option for the 4017 stair parts (on page 2 of the instructions) requires cutting the Banister off to line up with the bottom of the Liner. Then the Newel that would have been used at the top of the Banister if you were building the option without Landing Rails, becomes one of the two Newels for the Landing Rails. This is my preferred way to use the 4017 set, and is the implementation I recommend. Best wishes
