  • Getting ready for the other Roof Set
    40.jpg
  • Never too much tape
    41.jpg
  • Weight needed
    42.jpg
  • Find the angle for the corner shingles
    43.jpg
  • Two different angles - 16 of each
    44.jpg
  • Solvent based Panel Cement (look at the "analysis". Some panel cements have water and will curl the shingles). In this picture, I am using a probe on the calking gun to poke the seal inside the tube.
    45.jpg
  • I put a shingle board at the back edge to protect the shingles
    46.jpg
  • Cut the last shingle to fit. Sometimes, shaping is required
    47.jpg
  • A line of glue
    48.jpg
  • Keep the bottom edge of the row of shingles straight. Cut the overhang tomorrow
    49.jpg
  • The joint between shingles weaves back and forth
    50.jpg
  • Do as much shingling before attaching the Dormer as possible. The row of shingles below the Dormer should be done, but not the sides
    51.jpg
  • Painting the Dormer parts. Waxed paper keeps the counter clean
    52.jpg
  • Lay the dormer window in a cutout or door cutout to glue on the rest of the parts
    53.jpg
  • Stool Cap and Pediment
    54.jpg
  • Triangle. Move it around before the glue dries to keep it from gluing to the support (or put waxed paper on the support first)
    55.jpg
  • The Dormer Side lines up on the bottom
    56.jpg
  • The glue is drying
    57.jpg
  • The Dormer Roofs are not glued on yet. I shingled to the Dormer Sides and am cutting the top edges of the shingles using the Dormer Roofs as a guide

  • See the notch
