  • Walls (clapboard profile)... not shown: Top Tower Sides

  • Floors (base floors are 1/4" thick, upper floors are 3/8" thick)

  • These shots are of a test assembly of a set of JM907 parts. I did not use glue and did not complete the house. Use these photos for parts identification and orientation, but not instead of the house instructions
    b01.jpg
  • If this were an actual assembly, I'd be gluing in the floors. Notice that the floors stick out about 1/8" toward the front
    b02.jpg
  • A well-taped base corner
    b03.jpg
  • Work up the side from the base to the top to line up the walls and straighten the house
    b04.jpg
  • Tower floors and side
    b05.jpg
  • I always pre-finish the floors with acrylic urethane (like 'StaysClear') or with non-penetrating stain+urethane (like 'PolyShades') before assembly. The finish protects the flooring from the tape damage. Even with protection on the flooring, rub the tape off, don't tear it off.
    b06.jpg
  • Left Tower Side and Left Front
    b07.jpg
  • Critical point in the assembly!... Make sure all of the parts are in their proper orientation at the top. I installed the "Groove Fill" here to make sure everything lines up
    b08.jpg
  • my Tower Front sticks out on both sides of the tower, but I centered it and made sure the Tower Sides stayed parallel, and everything worked out
    b09.jpg
  • The Top Floor: again, floor finish is an important protection but rub the tape off anyway
    b10.jpg
  • The Foundation from the front
    b11.jpg
  • Prefinish and rub the tape off or don't tape to the flooring at all
    b12.jpg
  • The Top Floor and the Foundation are centered at the back and front
    b13.jpg
  • Porch Floor (1/4" thick). Add weights
    b14.jpg
  • There are lots of 9" tall things to locate the Porch Mid Floor
    b15.jpg
  • I am just testing parts so doing the Porch parts out of order doesn't matter
    b16.jpg
  • Notice the 5/8 trim at the left-front of the Porch - it is a target for the Railing and Gingerbread
