  • The 2" piece of stripwood will make a support for the Junction Splice.  Locate it with the tapewire flap

  • I am scribing around the support block with a craft knife

  • I used the rounded part of a jack knife to scrape the tips off the clapboard.  I want the support block to be touching the wall in the center where the junction splice's screw will will go thru the support block and into the wall

  • Plenty of glue

  • Confirm the location again

  • And clean up the excess glue.  A clamp is good if you have it, but be gentle.

  • Lined, straight, and flat.

  • Trim the tapewire at the end of the support block
