       Floor Finish |

01 The Contender: ModPodge is great for collages but how about as a floor finish?

02 I'm putting it on just like I would polyurethane - it is VERY thick!

03 Wiping the first coat off so there is finish only in the grooves

04 It's dry in an hour. Now a de-shine - VERY light sanding (synthetic steel wool is best)

07 It has dried over a weekend. It feels hard and tough with just the slightest hint of tackyness

09 Even rubbing the tape down and ripping if off with abandon didn't touch it

Result: I give it an 8/10, taking two off for the brush marks, but it sure is tough!

16 Aleene's Original Tacky Glue - I hear it is actually the same formula as ModPodge, just less water

19 I am squeezing HARD with no movement or separation... definitely a strong joint

20 I am surprised and impressed... The glue strength definitely gives ModPodge an advantage for floor finish

When I posted this on Facebook, the comments ranged from "I use it with no problems. Also use it to finish wood flooring" to "We can’t use it for anything in south coastal Texas.. Whatever you put on it sticks to where it sits".
