Troubleshooting Dollhouse Wiring

01. Plug something else into the wall outlet (like this lamp) to make sure there's power there 01D.png

02. The Power Supply is plugged into the wall and into the dollhouse 02D.png

03. Test the Power Supply at the screws 03D.png

04. Un-Plug the Power Supply from the dollhouse (keep the 110v side plugged into the outlet) 04D.png

05. Test the Power Supply again 05D.png

06. Use a different Testlight or a fixture to confirm the Testlight is working 06D.png

07. ... or test the Testlight on a 9v battery 07D.png

08. Test the end of the Lead-in Wire at the plug 08D.png

09. .. or the prongs if you have a Junction Splice hookup 09D.png

10. (Jack and Plug) test inside the Jack 10D.png

11.(Jack and Plug) test the end of the connecting wire at the eyelets 12D.png

12. (Junction Splice) Test the run right next to the Junction Splice 11D.png

13. Starting at the beginning, test every run 13D.png

You can generally find the tapewire under wallpaper when the light comes from the side ../fixtures/SpringLoadedEyelets/01D.png

... but diffuse light makes it hard to see the exact position ../fixtures/SpringLoadedEyelets/02D.png

Tape on a piece of paper and rub gently with a soft pencil to exactly find the Tapewire leads ../fixtures/SpringLoadedEyelets/03D.png

Now you can exactly place the Testlight and keep your runs organized ../fixtures/SpringLoadedEyelets/04D.png
